In this episode, Jill Interviews Dr. Sreela Sarkar about her ethnographic research in the neighbourhood of Seelampur in New Dehli India. The Indian government, like many governments globally right now, has been encouraging citizens to take IT skills training courses in an effort to give students the skills they need to lift themselves out of poverty and set them free. But Dr. Sarkar’s research raises an important question: Do skills set us free? Listen to the podcast to find out!
